Advanced Small Arms Lethality Trainer (ASALT) Maintainer/Operator I

 

JOB SUMMARY

 

Primary responsibility will be to maintain Gunfighter Gym/Advanced Small Arms Lethality Trainer training systems, equipment, troubleshooting, repair, and support of CK systems.

 

Secondary responsibility will be to support daily operations and instruction delivery as required..

 

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

· Inspect weapons & system daily and conduct preventative maintenance prior to training day.

· Ensure accountability of equipment and serviceability of equipment at the conclusion of training.

· Troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, reassemble, and test synthetic weapons, compressed air magazines, and other ancillary support equipment as required.

· Maintain and repair CK systems and equipment.

· Coordinate with Program Manager and internal company departments for higher-level repair or warranty service for Gunfighter Gym equipment to include the  return of malfunctioning systems and components.

· Work with ASALT Instructor and client to identify need for proprietary training scenario modifications.

· Work with installation schedulers to ensure ASALT SOP and TTPs are being followed and report any scheduling issues.

· Maintain weapons inventory and parts.

· Support ASALT Instructor in delivering synthetic training in support of client’s training requirements.

· Ensure accurate individual training data is captured by the system as required.

· Ensure operational capability and readiness/availability of system.

· Provide application training/assistance to end users.

· Provide system reports to client as required.

· Provide technical support to client as required.

· Meet or exceed expertise requirements set by Program Manager.

· Adhere to CK dress code as required (CK shirts provided).

· Deliver weekly site status report to Program Manager/others as directed.

· Perform system capabilities and limitations demonstrations.

· Responsible for site/facility cleanliness.

· Other duties, as assigned.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

· DoD Honorably Discharged Veteran (USMC preferred)

· Ability to obtain & maintain access to DoD Installations VIA DBIDS (Defense Biometric Identification System)

· Within 6 months must successfully complete Conflict Kinetics Personal Qualification Standards and be CK Maintainer Qualified, CK Armorer Qualified, CK  Cyber Systems Qualified, & CK Green Team Graduate

· Ability to work independently, prioritize, and multi-task.

· Ability to present ideas to non-technical staff and end users.

· Superior organizational and problem-solving skills.

· Strong documentation skills.

· Excellent interpersonal skills.

· Excellent written and oral communications skills.

· Solid knowledge of computer hardware.

· Experience with desktop operating systems.

· Experience with Microsoft Office products.

· Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use common hand tools is required.

· Proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously.

· Proficiency with computer networking systems and cross-platform skills

 

PREFFERED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

· DoD Combat Arms background

· Armorer experience

· Formal Physical Fitness training

· Small Arms Weapons and Tactics Instruction experience

· Proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

· The worker may occasionally be subject to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, noise, vibration, and hazards such as moving mechanical parts,
dust, and high places. The worker may be required to function in close quarters and narrow aisles or passageways.

 

· Classroom conditions will be comparable to a typical office setting with work hours of 0700-1900 based on the training schedule, with a typical 8-hour  workday. Conditions could require wearing PPE, working primarily indoors with prolonged periods of standing and moving while delivering training.

 

· Capable of standing and instructing/maintaining for 6-8 hours per day.

 

· Based upon the needs of the program and Project Management discretion, qualified individuals may be required to temporarily fill an alternate position.
